“Titan Mud Run 2016”
The residents from Wattlegrove recently participated in the 2016 Dubbo Titan Macquarie Mud Run. This event is 11km of gruelling obstacles including barbed wire crawls, river crossings, mud pits, wall climbs, flooded tunnels, mud slides and the list goes on.
The Titan Mud Run organisers were kind enough to donate the residents entry tickets as they saw the valuable lessons residents could gain from such an experience. The aim of having residents participate in such a difficult event included – learning to work towards a goal, learning to communicate effectively, developing and building trust, teamwork and lastly having a good time without the need for drugs or alcohol. Thank you very much to the organisers for their support which enabled our Wattlegrove residents to attend this event.
The day was a great success with a team of 14 participants with several staff donating their time to help ensure the day went ahead.
