National Award for Excellence and Innovation in Health Promotion for Lyndon’s ‘Drug and Alcohol First Aid’ workshop
Minister Prue Goward presented Lyndon with the highly prestigious award for Excellence and Innovation in Health Promotion for the ‘Drug and Alcohol First Aid’ workshop. The award was conferred at the annual Network of Alcohol and Drug Agencies conference on 6 June, 2016 at the Grace Hotel, Sydney in front of 200 guests.
Drug and Alcohol First Aid
Drug and Alcohol First Aid delivers up to date information on drugs and alcohol, addresses how to identify problem use and provides practical information on how to talk to someone about their substance use in a non-confrontational way as well as how to respond to intoxication and overdose.
Network of Alcohol and Drug Agencies (NADA) Award for Excellence and Innovation
The award recognises excellence and innovation in health promotion to reduce alcohol and drug related harms, which includes harm reduction, community development and prevention activities.

Lyndon provides drug and alcohol services through inpatient and outpatient treatment models including withdrawal, rehabilitation, counselling, group work and education. Lyndon has services in the central west, Dubbo, the Blue Mountains, Bega and also provides education to townships in the far west.
