Dr Julaine Allan

Dr Julaine Allan

Deputy CEO

Dr Julaine Allan is a substance use researcher and practitioner with over thirty years’ experience in social work, family therapy, child protection and drug and alcohol services.

Julaine works across fields of practice and practice sectors from a human rights perspective.

Julaine’s role is to implement evidence-based approaches in practice settings and identify if they are effective given contextual and socio-economic circumstances of the participants.

Julaine holds conjoint positions at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre at UNSW and as a social work academic at Charles Sturt University. She has over 30 peer reviewed published papers and has been awarded more than $2 million in competitive research grants.

Julaine is an accredited CRA trainer and supervisor, provides clinical supervision and research supervision and consultancy services in her areas of expertise.

Michele Campbell

Michele Campbell

Manager Residential Services & In-reach

Michele has a background in psychology and counselling and has worked in the drug and alcohol field for the last 18 years.

Beginning her drug and alcohol career at St Vincent’s Hospital Drug and Alcohol Service in Sydney before moving to The Lyndon Community, Michele has worked as a telephone counsellor, detoxification worker and outreach counsellor/educator prior to management.

Michele’s experience has provided a good insight into city based and rural and regional services and the differences in service delivery.

The inaugural recipient of The Ian Webster Scholarship, Michele has led Lyndon in change and program delivery and completing a Masters in Strategic Organisational Development, having participated in several organisational research projects.

Michele is a member of the NADA Practice Leadership Group and the Expert Advisory Panel for Workforce Development.
