Kim has over 18 years’ experience in corporate communications and issues management. She has overseen and implemented communication strategies for several major organisations in the private and public sectors and has extensive experience working on high-profile projects across a broad range of industries.

David has worked in senior management with Qantas for over 33 years and brings a diverse range of experience to the Board in the areas of human resources, industrial relations and finance.

Cheryl Herbert

Cheryl has extensive experience in executive management in the health and community sectors. She is the CEO of the Institute for Healthy Communities Australia Group. She has undertaken a wide range of quality management system surveys over the past 14 years and led the establishment of Queensland’s first healthcare standards.

Barry Scott

Barry has over 40 years’ experience in senior executive and CEO roles in public and private companies including Coles Myer, Woolworths, Freedom Furniture and Cyberlynx. He is also Board Chairman for IHCA (Institute for Healthy Communities Australia).

Dr Jeremy Hayllar

Jeremy is the Clinical Director of Metro North Hospital and Health Service’s Alcohol and Drug Service. His interests include dual diagnosis and the growing prevalence of pharmaceutical opioid dependence.

Raylee Taylor

Raylee has been involved in suicide prevention and supporting the bereaved by suicide for over 20 years at state, national and international level. She was the founding member of Care for Life: Suicide Prevention Assoc. and is a member of Suicide Prevention Australia (SPA) and the International Assoc for Suicide Prevention. Raylee received a LIFE Award from SPA in 2006 for her contribution to suicide prevention in Australia; a Premiers Award for Queensland Seniors in 2010 and a Gold Coast City Community Services Award in 2016 for her work in suicide prevention.

Professor Cindy Shannon

Cindy is a descendent of the Ngugi people from Moreton Bay. Cindy is the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Education) at the University of Queensland and is also the Director of the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health. She was previously the Director of the Centre for Indigenous Health at UQ. She has contributed to Indigenous health policy development and implementation nationally.

Ray Brownhill

Ray has over 30 years’ experience in the Queensland Police Service which has included operational, investigative, training and legal positions. He is currently the Inspector in charge of the Fortitude Valley Police Division. Ray is a Barrister at Law and a Director of the Queensland Police Credit Union.

Stuart Althaus

Stuart is an experienced CEO, Senior Executive and Company Director specialising in Information Communications Technology (ICT) and strategy. His career commenced as an Army Officer and continues after 37 years as an active Army Reservist in Army Headquarters. Stuart’s background has spanned successful and large international and domestic projects and covers many areas of program and portfolio management, technical project management, procurement, and business process redevelopment.

A registered Nurse in General and Psychiatric Nursing, currently Operations Manager for Spotless Services for the Bloomfield campus Stuart aims to support the community with his time and expertise.

A consultant in natural resource management and active community member on a number of other boards and service organisations Don’s interests are in community improvement programs.
